Czech Post Undercuts Royal Mail With New Express Service

Czech Post has launched a new express service called Business Package Abroad (EPG) which has a guaranteed time of delivery to 21 countries in Europe.
A three-day service will operate for destinations in France, Germany, Ireland, England and Sweden, with Norway, and some parts of Portugal and Spain on a five-day basis.
The new service allows the sender to obtain the predicted delivery time from a post office counter and for commercial packages has a weight limit of 30 kg with insurance cover up to 13 thousand crowns. Additional insurance up to 1m can also be obtained although the weight limit would then be 20 kg and without a guaranteed delivery time.
Czech Post said the new service was actually cheaper than some comparable services including that of the Royal Mail.
