Worlds Longest Letter To Santa On Display In Bucharest

The longest in the world letter addressed to Santa Claus is to be displayed in the the National Philatelic Museum in Bucharest on August 15th.
The letter, entitled "saving our forests to save our youth" was written at the end of last year, during nine days by 2110 children from schools in Romania. Children submitted their own thoughts to the most influential person in the world, Santa Claus. The letter measures 1,355 feet long and weighs an incredible 220 pounds and was delivered to Finland in time for Christmas last year.
Amongst the childrens concerns were disappearing forest, pollution and the environment. The World record letter was officially approved on 18 December 2008.
The longest letter was written in 1952 by a lady in the U.S. who wrote to her boyfriend, a private in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. She used 3,200 feet of narrow tape found in adding machines and it took her a month to write.
