Switch Media, an established Internet Service Provider, has reduced its mail overheads by 36 per cent by using leading desktop to doormat delivery solution, imail, to send physical letters direct from a computer to business addresses.
Using imail’s full-colour, two-day letter service, Switch Media sends 150 invoices a day and regular promotional mailshots of 15,000 items to UK businesses, and has recently introduced daily mailings to the Republic of Ireland.
Switch Media selected imail having previously used alternative hybrid mail solutions to send invoices and mailshots. The company had become a strong advocate of hybrid mail, but realised that imail offered considerable benefits when compared to other leading solutions in the marketplace in terms of cost, flexibility and quality of service.
Following the move from a traditional mail operation, Switch Media achieved an initial cost saving of 28 per cent, which has since increased to 36 per cent with the adoption of the imail service. In addition, it has been possible to close the in-house mailroom, freeing up both office space and staff time, and removing the need for printing and franking equipment, stationery and consumables.
Chris Evans at Switch Media commented: “Imail has delivered on its promise of being the leading hybrid mail provider by consistently providing a solution that offers high levels of service, ease of use and value for money. We have already expanded the mail solution to include the Republic of Ireland and are exploring the feasibility of sending mail to other countries in mainland Europe.”
Andy Barber at UK Mail said: “Switch Media had a costly and time consuming postal requirement covering both transactional and promotional mailings, so needed an alternative solution that would not only reduce overheads but also automate some of the company’s back-office, mailroom processes. We have worked hard to create an affordable, flexible and easy to use service for companies such as Switch Media and provide the leading desktop to doormat mail delivery tool available within the UK.”
